Being able to work with so many wonderful and different people each day is a privilege. One of the most vital aspects of being a dentist is opening up good communication with my patients and building relationships to make them feel comfortable. It brings me satisfaction to hear when patients exclaim how they used to be anxious to see a dentist but feel comfortable with me!
I chose to join the oral healthcare field because of my experiences as a child. Ironically, I did not have the best oral hygiene as a child and had a fear of going to the dentist, so I know what many of my patients are going through. As a result, I had a lot of pain from the many cavities I developed. Seeing the dentist to fix all my teeth gave me a newfound appreciation for oral hygiene. With the next step of straightening my teeth with braces, I found a new confidence in myself. I want to give this confidence others in my same situation, transforming my appreciation for dentistry to a passion for dentistry.
My goal is to be the empathetic dentist who can relate to patients and encourage them through actual first-hand experiences to take care of their teeth.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Science in Molecular Cell Biology and Physiology – California State University-Long Beach
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of California-San Francisco School of Dentistry
I participate in continuing education to keep up to date with the best materials to use in restorations and techniques to preserve longevity of patients' teeth. It allows me to treat my patients with the utmost care supported by evidence-based research.
I also focus on education for my patients, especially when they ask questions and are eager to learn. I love hearing them say, “I’ve never heard that before!” because it gives me a chance to make a difference in their habits and mindset, which ultimately leads to their improved oral health.

Outside the Office
I grew up in Anaheim, California and now call beautiful Santa Rosa home. I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, whether I am hiking, white water rafting, trying out new restaurants, playing board games, playing videogames, watching movies, or attending church services. I love being able to be outdoors but also appreciating staying inside!
